New Week, New Spots: Must-Try Cafe & Fun Finds in Sydney!

My goodness we have hit the warm weather. The weekend was in the 30’s, I hope you had on your factor 50!

With the hot weather there is a real positive energy in the air. People are smiling and get out and into in our awesome Sydney.

Without further ado let’s get into it for the week ahead.

1. Better “Dirty Red” … than the alternative ☕️

Glebe is home to the 4.6 star Dirty Red. It has a sibling in Rozelle, a pigeon pair 😆

Located at 41 Glebe Point Road, a short stroll from Broadway, and across the road from the Glebe Markets. They have gained a following and strong reviews with great service and a menu that also caters for allergies.

Trading from 7/8am and closing at 3pm the menu is targeted at breakfast, brunch and lunch. My favourite is the Scram Croissant with prosciutto, cheddar and relish 😋

Afterward you can drop into the nearby Broadway Shopping Centre for your weekly shop or grab a movie.

2. Cocktails and more at The Midnight Special 🍸️

Oooh what a vibe. The Midnight Special is so special. Just a stones throw from Newtown Station at 44 Enmore Road, it is super convenient.

Classic cocktails are priced at $15 on Tuesday 5 to 9pm and Saturday 3 to 5pm. Signature cocktails include the Surfa Rosa, Buckley’s Mango Sour, Smoke on the Water and Suzi Q. When it comes to food there is a small snack and wood fired pizza menu 🍕

And they have music too 🎵 😃

Trading hours from Monday to Friday are 5pm until midnight (funny that) and 2pm to midnight on Saturday.

3. An Irish country music singer ? Nathan Carter crushes it !

This Friday Nathan Carter is making a single night appearance at The Enmore Theatre.

Nathan is a British born, Irish country music singer. He has had six number one albums in Ireland, sold out 10,000+ arenas and even performed for the Pope and 60,000 of his catholic cousins 😄

At the time we go to print there are some tickets available through Ticketek starting at $89.95 plus booking fee. Get In !

4. Wet and Wild on Sydney Harbour

As they say at Oz Jet Boating … they have thrilled over 1 million people, what an achievement.

I found the ride exhilarating. Friends from Europe were in Sydney, it was Summer and so I joined them for the adventure on the harbour. It was hilarious and yes we also all got wet. Watch this short YouTube clip and you will get a good look at the fun.

Everyone is having a blast on Oz Jet Boating with a 4.9 Google star ranking what more proof do you need.

Ticket pricing for a 30 minute ride start at $63 per person for a family of four.

5. Ever wanted to go to Peru?

Save on the airfares and jet lag, the Australian Museum in Darlinghurst has done the heavy lifting and brought to Sydney “Machu Picchu and the Golden Empires of Peru”.

The exhibition features over 130 artefacts and immersive displays including a virtual reality adventure delving into the rich heritage of Peru including exquisite jewellery, funerary objects from royal tombs and one of the most impressive gold collections.

Tickets for adults start at $37.50 and there is also child, concession and family pricing. Get your tickets via this LINK
